The Full Picture
Business Insurance Coverages
- Public Liability — protects against claims of bodily injury, death, or property damage caused to third parties (clients, visitors, the public) during business activities, covering legal fees, medical expenses and compensation.
- Employer's Liability — covers liability for bodily injury, disease, or death sustained by employees in the course of their employment.
- Commercial Property — protects your company's physical assets, including buildings, inventory and equipment, against fire, explosions, natural disasters, theft and vandalism.
- Business Interruption — replaces lost income and covers operating expenses such as payroll, rent and taxes if your business is forced to suspend operations due to a covered peril.
- Employee Benefits — an employer-sponsored package offering Group Health (medical, including dental and vision, with the option to add spouse and dependants), Group Life (a death benefit, usually 1–4 times annual salary), and Group Pension (a retirement savings plan funded by both employer and employee).
Small Business Insurance (under 25 employees)
Comprehensive coverage for small-to-medium businesses, tailored to your needs, with several coverage types uniquely bundled into one policy:
- Fire and Peril — covers your buildings, equipment, stock and contents against loss or damage from fires, earthquakes, burglary, riots and hurricanes.
- Public Liability — protects against claims of bodily injury, death or property damage to third parties during business activities.
- Employer's Liability — covers liability for bodily injury, disease or death to employees during the course of employment.
- Loss of Money — covers money lost through theft in transit to and from the bank, in a bank night-deposit safe, in a locked safe or strong room outside working hours, at the residences of the insured or employees outside working hours, at the work site, or in the custody of professional security carriers. 'Money' includes cash, bank and currency notes, cheques, postal orders, stamps and postage, and money orders.
- Business Interruption — replaces lost income and operating expenses if a covered peril forces operations to suspend.
- Fidelity Guarantee — protects against direct financial loss caused by dishonest employees through the theft of money or stock during their employment.
- Goods in Transit — covers losses on goods being transported inland until they reach their destination, where fire and perils cover would not apply.
- Glass — covers breakage of fixed glass for any cause except those specifically excluded.
Who Needs Professional Indemnity Insurance?
Designed to protect those who provide advice to a third party for payment, offering financial protection against claims of alleged negligence or failure to deliver a service as promised. It is essential for:

- Business Advisors
- Business and Management Consultants
- Contractors

- Educational Consultants
- Engineers
- Financial Advisors

Who Needs Key Man Insurance?
A life insurance policy owned by a business that provides a financial safety net if a vital employee, founder, or director dies or becomes critically ill — covering lost profits and outstanding loans and ensuring business continuity. It suits:
- Small businesses and startups whose success is directly linked to the owner's name, skills or reputation.
- Businesses with key revenue drivers — firms dependent on one or two top salespeople or specialized employees whose absence would severely hurt income.
- Companies with partners (buy-sell agreements) — partnerships that need to buy out a deceased partner's share of the business.
- Businesses with loans — companies required by lenders to secure business loans with a key-person policy (collateral assignment).
- Businesses seeking investment — startups or expanding firms whose investors require protection against the loss of key talent.
Contractors All Risks (CAR)
Comprehensive protection for 'ground up' construction projects, whether a building under construction or one under renovation. Coverage is usually offered in two sections:
- Contract Works — building materials and equipment on site, plus all constructional plant, equipment and tools.
- Public Liability — bodily injury, death, or property damage to any third party caused by negligence.
Comprehensive and project-specific: it provides broader protection than standard liability, covering the project, materials and equipment simultaneously, and is tailored to the duration of the construction work.
Cyber Insurance
Helps businesses mitigate financial losses from data breaches, cyberattacks and system interruptions — covering recovery expenses, legal fees, forensic investigations and extortion. It is categorized into two:
- First-Party Coverage (direct damages) — covers your company against reputational damage, the costs of notification and monitoring, and loss of electronic data.
- Third-Party Liability — protects your business when data breaches stem from a third-party network or system, covering defence costs, outsourced data, data security, personal data and corporate data.
